| Bio: | I am a Nationally Certified Massage and Neuromuscular Therapist based in Atlanta, GA. My studio is in the historic Highland Inn located in the heart of Poncey Highlands. It is convenient to Downtown, Midtown, Virginia Highlands, Little Five Points and Decatur. After getting my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Kutztown University in Pennsylvania, I moved to Atlanta for a change of scenery. It was here that the field of Massage Therapy found me. I attended Rising Spirit Institute of Natural Health in the fall of 2003 and the experience was full of transformation and awakening. The most important thing that doing this work has made me realize is that Massage Therapy is my true calling and every moment before this was simply to prepare me for it. That the concepts I absorbed from my various fine art courses – such as intuition, spontaneity, and connecting to humanity on a deeper level - were crucial stepping-stones for the bodywork I do today. I also found that the very same technique I used in drawing the human form also defined the instinctive quality of my touch. Because of this I have love for what I do, respect for the human body and the caring intention needed to give my best work each and every session. My ultimate goal as your Massage Therapist is to give you the best of both worlds by giving you a relaxing, meditative session that also provides relief from whatever muscular pain or injury you may have.
